Connection Sharing is designed to simplify and expedite the sharing of data connections among team members to easily collaborate on projects and manage your data.
Typically, creating a dashboard involves multiple steps including connecting a data source. This process can be intricate, particularly when dealing with complex data sources, or for users who are unframiliar with your data source, such as your dashboard desiginers.
This is where Connection Sharing comes into play. It simplifies the process by allowing you to share data connections with your team members. If you've already established a connection to a data source within Luzmo, you can now effortlessly share it with your team, eliminating the need for them to set up the data connection from scratch.
To share a data connection, simply click on the "Connections" option in the sidebar menu. From here, you can view all of your data connections, edit the connections setting, create new connections, and share existing connections.
To share a connection, click on the three dots to the right of the connection name and select "Share." From here you can then select the users or groups you would like to share with as well as set their access level, giving them permission to use, edit, or own the connection. You can also unshare a connecting by clicking the x icon next to the users access level.
Can Use: The user can only use the connection to create new datasets.
Can Edit: The user can modify the properties of the connection. e.g. the host, user name, password, etc.
Owner: The user can share the connection with other users and groups and delete the connection.
