The regular table is used to show raw, row level data. By adding conditional formatting you can make certain data stand out by highlighting values that meet certain criteria using colors or bars. Conditional formatting can be set up from the chart settings. The different columns of your table are listed underneath the ‘Column’ section. There, you can pick the style of formatting you want for every column. Depending on the data type of the column, different conditional formatting is available.

Conditional formatting for numeric values

Conditional formatting for numeric values can be done by applying colors or by displaying bars.

  • The colors can be displayed as colored text, backgrounds or badges.
    • To manage the colors, you can choose between coloring based on:
      • A percentage of the maximum
      • A percentage of the total sum
      • Manually set ranges
    • You can set the values for the multiple ranges and pick the colors in which those ranges must be visualized.
  • Numeric values on a regular table can also be styled by using bars.
    • These bars can be displayed in every color you want.
    • The target of the bars can be set as:
      • The maximum of the values
      • The sum of the values
      • A manual value
    • You can determine whether you want to see the actual value, as a percentage, or not at all.

Conditional formatting for non-numeric values

Non-numeric values can be conditionally formatted as well. This is done by giving every category a specific color. You’ll see which data belong to which category in one glance! The colors can be displayed as category badges or as category backgrounds.
